How it works

Giving blood is a quick and simple process. All the information needed to get started can be found from this page. You can begin by watching the below video showing the experience of Sabrina Washington a first time donor:

If you are still interested in donating then you first need to check if you are eligible to donate. Am I eligible to donate blood?

If you are eligible then you can donate at your local NHS blood donation centre  or whilst our campaigns are running twice a year you can donate at one of our organised sessions at designated centres around the UK. I want to donate blood.

Here is a list of all upcoming sessions organised by IHBDC. If there aren’t any but you still want to donate you can select to donate locally.

Many renowned scholars have shown their approval of blood donation and encourage it as a blessed act aiding those in need. Islamic opinion of scholars. Why is this campaign named after Imam Hussain

If you would like to volunteer in any way such as helping at blood donation sessions, starting blood donation sessions in your town/city or being a part of keeping IHBDC running successfully, you can email us on giveblood@ius.org.uk

If you have further questions please read through our FAQS or email us on giveblood@ius.org.uk
