2014 brought even more enthusiastic donors from all over the country. With the Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign in full force, registrations came pouring in. There were more registrations this year than ever before! Almost 900 people registered to donate and over 500 people attended sessions to donate blood.
In addition, more cities than ever took part in the campaign this year raising awareness to cities which had never previously participated:
A staggering 410 individual donations were made – that’s equivalent to 1230 adult or 2870 infant units of blood!
Where can I donate blood?
Although the Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign drives have come to an end this year, you can still continue to donate blood (once every 12 weeks for men, and 16 weeks for women). Please visit www.ius.org.uk/giveblood for more information about how to register.
How can I help?
