Mental Health Program Volunteers
Due to the success of the Mental Health Referral Program, we are now looking to recruit Mental Health volunteers which will be the first point of contact between our client and the referred professional. There is chance of progression in the role to owning the Mental Health Programme at IUS. Typical duties for this role may include:
- Managing our gmail account as first point of contact of queries
- Liaising with time slots in which both client and the mental health professional are available
- Hosting events and raising awareness for Mental Health in the Muslim Community
- Seeking grants and fundraising related to mental health work for us to continue with this work
We are looking for committed volunteers who have a true passion for working in mental health and are able to demonstrate this. In return, IUS Aid will provide training and investment for the role and a chance of taking the project further by owning the project. If you are interested in mental health or want to pursue a career in mental health, this is a great opportunity to avail. The volunteer must live and be based in the UK, this role is fully remote.
