Set up in January 2006, the National Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign aims to encourage more Muslims to become blood donors. The event takes place during the month of Muharram, in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as), the grandson of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). This campaign will be taking place on Sunday 3rd January and Monday 4th January across major cities in the UK.
