Salamu Alaykum,
We regret to announce that tomorrow’s IUS London Iftar on 10th August at Abrar House has been cancelled, due to the unforeseen events in London.
Violent riots and looting have hit several areas of the city and it is unknown which areas, especially in central London, may see violence next and how severe it may be. As a precautionary measure to avoid potential danger to attendees travelling to and from this week’s lecture and iftar, the event has unfortunately been called off.
There is an unprecedented 16,000 police officers on London’s streets tonight, and a huge level of uncertainty as to how events will develop later this week. We pray to Allah (swt) that the security situation returns to normal as soon as possible and we can focus on making the most of this blessed Month of Ramadan.

Inshallah at the moment next week’s iftar on 17th August will continue as normal, starting at 7.00pm at Abrar. We look forward to welcoming you again then.
