IUS Membership

The Islamic Unity Society (IUS) is run by the youth and for the youth on a voluntary basis. It is totally independent and not linked with any government or mosque. The IUS implements a membership model where people subscribe on a yearly basis to be IUS members.

 

Benefits of membership

Being a member of the IUS is about giving just as much as recieving. You will be supporting vital charity work being done for our youth and community - helping to support their physical, spiritual and social well being. The IUS wouldn't be able to organise its activities and services without the support of our members. You can read more about our aims and activities on the About Us page.

In terms of publications you will receive in the post:

  • The annual IUS wall planner with Islamic dates and prayer times.
  • Voice of Unity (VOU) quarterly magazine.

As far as events and services are concerned:

  • Discounts on fees to attend study circles, summer camps and other events.
  • If you cannot attend these events, material will be made accessible on the IUS website.
  • Entitlement to vote at the IUS Annual General Meeting and run for a position on the Executive Committee.

Subscription rates

The annual subscription rate is in three levels depending which stage of education you are at. The best way to sign up is to print the paper membership form attached, complete it and the standing order and post it to us. Alternatively you can sign up and pay online using the form below.

  • Professionals:  £15
  • Students (over 18):   £10
  • Students (under 18) : £5

(Please note that there is an extra charge of 38p, 56p and 74p respectively to cover the costs of online payment through PayPal)
