About this Event
With up to 40,000 runners last year, Great Manchester Run is the biggest of its kind in Europe.
This years event will be broadcast live on BBC as runners go through the streets of Manchester around some of it’s most iconic sights.
Both brothers and sisters of all running (or even walking!) abilities are welcome. We’ll even throw in a free T shirt.

Registration Deadline: 1st May 2016
- Once registered, you will be added to our participants Whatsapp group. This group will be used for further communications.
- Head to Great Run Manchester website here and sign up individually. Entry costs £38 which includes starter pack, but a refund is available for those unable to pay the entry cost, required you have raised a minimum of £200 in sponsorship after the event. For all of us to be together, brothers should register at the 1:00-1:05 time slot and sisters at 1:30-1:35.
- Create your own Justgiving page fundraising for Islamic Unity Society and join our team page #TeamAid here for raising money for IUS Aid’s Iraqi Orphans Appeal and get going!
- Share your page on social media: Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp etc. using personalised messages and encourage others to contribute or join!
IUS Aid is aiming to raise £20,000 in funds. All the money raised will go to our Iraq appeal which is creating sustainable solutions to alleviate orphans out of poverty. We have a huge demand from projects in Iraq and we need your support!
It takes just £1 a day to meet the basic needs on orphan in Iraq. Thanks to all of you who help and continue to help make a difference in lives.
