The Friday Night Project (FNP) is an initiative by several youth organisations for Shia Muslim youth (male only) in London and based at Abrar centre, off Edgware Road. The programme usually includes some film or video showings on large screen, a frenzied debate on a topical issue chosen by those who attended the previous week, a chance to socialise over dinner as well as congregational prayers. The first session took place on Friday 10th July and the programme has continued weekly since then. Please refer to the events calendar for further details. These recordings include the inital arguments and rebuttals by both sides FOR/AGAINST the motion and then the conclusion that was reached following the debate amongst the audience. Marriage counts for half your religion after all according to the famous narration. Spending time with your spouse is better than a night of worship says another narration.
